Comment: its way to easy to catch fish with bait on the little pond you should be allowed to bait fish on the big lake for more experinced anglers.if you want that you should go to naworth fishery its right next door to new mills much cheaper and you can return the fish if you want. 
Comment:  We agree here at new mills. The Ford pool is the ideal place for people to learn to fish. The main lake is fly fishing only for a good reason. Imagine you have just presented a fly perfectly and are inching it across the water then a big yellow bubble float lands right next to it, The two types of fishing do not mix well. The other reason is that when bait fishing the fish tend to swallow the bait and get damaged while you are trying to get it out. We stock quality fish to 15lb in our lake and would like to keep them that way. So yes we agree if you want to bait fish on a larger water please go to Naworth.
